This statistics course introduces students to major statistics concepts, such as collecting and analyzing data, using correct statistical language, and drawing conclusions from data. This is an effective course for students intending to pursue science, engineering, math, or business majors.

academic writing
A pre-university academic writing course done in 12 sessions.
This course introduces students to the principles of university-level academic writing, with an emphasis on reading, writing, and analysis at a critical level.

Students will read and analyze various materials, will learn strategies for developing an effective composition, and will study different referencing styles.

Public Speaking
A public speaking course for teens.
This course will guide students through the art of public speaking with clarity and confidence. They will learn how to be comfortable speaking in front of any audience – big or small.

Spelling bee
A preparatory course for the spelling bee competition.
This spelling bee course will teach students various methods in order to succeed at spelling. This course is especially useful as training in preparation for the Spelling Bee regional competitions. Registration fees for participating in the SBOC Spelling Bee are included.
